Hi – my name is Janet and I am the great-great-great granddaughter of William Saunders, one of the founders of the National Grange. He also designed the cemetery at Gettysburg and was one of the men on the platform when Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address. William Saunders was a botanist and landscape architect who introduced a number of plants, trees, fruits and vegetables to America – most famous being the introduction of the seedless Navel Orange.

This website will not only showcase his many writings and public works, but give information on his family and home life.

Much more to come!
